Who we are:  We are Massachusetts licensed acupuncturists coordinating efforts with our colleagues and the New England School of Acupuncture to provide FREE post-traumatic stress relief to anyone affected by the bombings at the Boston Marathon.

How we can help those seeking care: Acupuncturists Without Borders has implemented trauma-specific ear protocols in past disasters like the earthquake in Haiti and more recently during hurricane Sandy with great success, providing much-needed relief for those in immediate distress. These treatments are fast, safe, effective, and used by the United States military to treat PTSD.  Using team leaders here in Massachusetts who have had AWB disaster training, NESA faculty and alumni, and a growing list of volunteers, we are coordinated and ready to serve.

What to expect during treatment:  This specific protocol to relieve PTSD includes five thin, sterilized, disposable acupuncture needles applied gently to points on each ear. Acupuncture treatments are effective for helping people facing stress, anger, frustration, depression, fatigue, and other emotional and physical pain. Therapeutic effects can occur quickly and last for a week or more.  These simple acupuncture treatments have a positive, transformative effect, without requiring the recipient to discuss their symptoms or emotions, unless they would like to.

What we are looking for in practitioners:  We are seeking licensed acupuncturists who can provide clinic space in their private practice, or can take shifts at the New England School of Acupuncture to help those in need.  Please click the button above to provide your contact information and availability to help.
